Count of Hatchet


Count of Hatchet is a turn-based strategy RPG where you take control of a county in a far corner of a crumbling empire. With dwindling resources and an advancing enemy army, you must make alliances or discover a way to stand alone.

To survive you’ll have to outsmart the monsters, bandits, and petty lords that vie for dominance over the island of Hatchet. Make your choices carefully as every decision comes with consequences that effects your reputation and the happiness of at least one class of your people.

As the empire draws to a bloody end take your stand or bend the knee to the conquering forces . Will your dynasty continue or will you watch it wither and die?

Your county awaits you.

We hit first playable in July. Count of Hatchet is currently in Alpha and on schedule for hitting Beta by the end of October, 2020.

Finished the character art for all the backgrounds.

Adding UI animations. September is slotted for background animations now that we know the best way to import them.

Our dialogue system allows players to choose answers and questions during the conversation as well as make a final decision at the end of the dialogue that will change the course of the game.

June & July

Art is bringing to life our towns with animations and populating them with villagers.

Design is writing a total of 250 dialogues.
